The article presents information that politician Ruth Hanna Mocormick's smashing success in the Illinois Senatorial primaries is being hailed as the greatest political victory ever won by a woman. It was indeed a triumph for feminine leadership, but it had many other significances. It indicates 1) that the West, led by its former State, is still anti-World Court and anti-League of Nations; 2) that it is still politically dry; 3) that it does not look with favor on many of the policies of the present national administration; 4) that it has made up its mind to crash through the sex barrier surrounding the Senate.
