The Case of Paul Scheffer

The article presents the author's views on journalist Paul Scheffer. I have always regarded Paul Scheffer as a brilliant journalist. Certainly he has an interesting mind. But all that glitters is not gold and what was or seemed excellent newspaper work in 1924 and 1927 becomes history of doubtful quality in 1931. The moral is that a writer for dailies should think twice and revise three times before reprinting ancient articles. A serious error is Scheffer's failure to remold his journalistic products in the light of more recent information and more recent events.
