The article presents information on the book "American Outpost," by Upton Sinclair. This is the first installment of Sinclair's autobiography, and it carries him up to his second marriage on the eve of the Great War. It is not a profound book either by accident or intention, but it tells of a unique American career, and one which, in these dismal days, is coming to seem more significant than it has at any time since it became a matter of public interest. Sinclair is a more American American than many of those who boast about their hundred-per-centism.
