The article provides information on the various issues, including world politics, education, religion and trade. Despite the loss of Catalonia and the island of Minorca, it seems probable that the Spanish civil war will continue. It seems unlikely that the government will surrender its heavily fortified stronghold in central Spain unless it is assured that its minimum terms will be met. If any fault is to be found with the impressive and eloquent statement made by U.S. Secretary of Labor Frances Perkins before the U.S. House Judiciary Committee in Harry Bridges case, it lies in the defensive position she adopted. For on every one of the basic issues involved the men and interests who have so long urged the deportation of Bridges and now seek the impeachment of the Secretary convict themselves of the grossest hypocrisy.
