The article presents information on the book entitled "A Doctor for the People." The book is written by Michael A. Shadid. In the author's opinion Shadid is a kind of natural phenomenon, like the dust storms that occasionally redistribute the landscape of the Oklahoma panhandle where he has lived and practiced for thirty years. According to the author one feels Shadid is telling the truth in this book, as elsewhere. He remarks that as an intensely active and practical person, he would always have found himself too busy to fictionize anything.
