In this article the author presents his views on philosophy. He remarks that he has always been repelled by idle philosophical speculations, terms like idea, substance, attribute and categorical imperative, by various philosophers, have always aroused in him a sense of suspicion that the philosopher was getting too much involved in his own thought. He says that he has no patience for hair-splitting philosophy. Yet in their simplest terms science, religion, and philosophy have always fascinated him. To him, philosophy is an attitude toward life based on a greater or lesser, but always limited, comprehension of the universe so far as one knows it.
