The article gives information about two books. They are "Life of John Keats," by Albert Erlande and "Elizabeth Barrett Browning," by Louise Schulz Boas. These are literary biographies, dealing with the lives of two of the most interesting poets of the nineteenth century. Erlande's "Life of John Keats" is the better of the two both in style and in subject matter. Boas's biography of Elizabeth Barrett Browning suffers somewhat from too much sentimentalizing over the invalid poetess and her rescue by the robust Browning.
