The article presents details of interrogating style of the Fish Committee of the U.S. An example of Fish's cross-examining technique and the pertinence of its inquiries was the questioning of Peter A. Bogdanov concerning political prisoners in Siberia, Soviet Union, at the present time. On being questioned about the number of political prisoners in Siberia under the Czar, Bogdanov answered that he lacked knowledge about it. But the committee insisted that such a thing is not possible as he was a prisoner under the Czar.
