The article presents news related to political issues in the U.S. President Herbert Hoover took a vigorous and determined stand in the first speech of his "swing around the circle" against any and all who would have him deviate in slightest degree from his stubborn opposition to unemployment insurance, any form of dole, and any other changes in the social order.
