This article presents information about music recordings that are being sold in the U.S. One record by RCA Victor combines Arturo Toscanini's performance of Niccolo Paganini's "Moto Perpetuo" with the N.B.C. Symphony's violins, a mere orchestral tour de force and his performance with the strings of the scherzo and slow movements which are among the greatest of works in which greatness of human spirit has expressed itself in artistic terms and it combines these under the title "Encores." Bruno Walter's excellent recording of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Symphony K. 551 invites comparison with Beecham's older one and such comparison reveals that Beecham's performance has the advantage of the dynamic phrasing that distinguishes his treatment of Mozart.
