The article presents information on the "Memoirs of a Bolshevik," by O. Piatnitsky. On the occasion of the periodic purgings of the Russian Communist Party, every member is required to submit a political biography giving a full account of his activities before and after he joined the party. These memoirs are an outgrowth of the political biography submitted by the author at the party purging of 1921, and since he was one of the charter members of the original Bolshevik wing, his career is synchronous with the history of the party. For some unrevealed reason the memoirs stop short with the February, 1917, revolution, which found him an exile in Siberia.
