The article presents information on the book "The Significance of Sections in American History," by Frederick Jackson Turner. The author was thirty-two years old in 1893 when he read his monograph, "The Significance of the Frontier in American History," before the American Historical Association. From that day, forty years ago, until now it may truly be said that he has so completely dominated American historical writing that hardly a single production in all that time has failed to show the marks of his influence.
