The article presents an overview of the theatrical production "Roar China," by S.M. Tretyakov. This is the play with which the Theatre Guild has started off its season. It is brutal, ridiculously caricaturing, often feeble, but frequently stirring propaganda melodrama. "Roar China" is one of the most skilful and visually exciting productions that the theater has seen. Tretyakov's indictment of imperialism finds expression in a flaming, wrathful melodrama that glories as the frankly propagandist piece .
