The article presents information related to the music industry. The performance of Mozart's lovely Clarinet Quintet by the Roth String Quartet and Simeon Bellison is stodgy; and instead of finely modulated phrases Bellison produces sequences of big, round, shrill pumpkins. Claudia Muzio's voice is a delight to the ear in songs that ask nothing in feeling and style beyond what she could give. Beside Muzio's voice Gina Cigna's sounds like very little in "Casta Diva" from "Norma" and "Suicidio" from "La Gioconda." On another Columbia single is beautiful singing by Kipnis in Schubert's "Haidenroslein," "Ungeduld," and "Erlkonig."
