There is no "Ersatz" for justice," said Fiorello La Guardia, Mayor of New York, recently, in one of those flashes of wit and wisdom, which he often shows. It was a body blow to German dictator Adolf Hitler and all the dictators, for to that sentiment there is no answer possible. It was even more effective than his remark that Hitler ought to be in a chamber of horrors a statement. It is this frank speaking which makes the Mayor so likable and helps to make the author eager for his renomination and reelection.
