The article reports that at the International film festival held in Moscow in 1934, for the purpose of celebrating the fifteenth anniversary of the Soviet cinema, "The Youth of Maxim" shared first honors with the new classic "Chapayev." As to the content of the picture, It can be said that it is an account of the gradual awakening to class-consciousness of a very ordinary young Russian workman in the period following the revolution of 1905.
