This article focuses on the play "Kind Lady." Its based on the short story, written by Hugh Walpole. It is about a rich and solitary old lady whose house was invaded by a band of imperturbable crooks. The leader gained entrance in the guise of a hungry beggar, stayed overnight with his wife, who was supposed to have fainted on the street, and then gradually took possession of the entire ménage. Grace George acted in this play superbly. It is developed as a comedy and thus made the Western equivalent of that Oriental fable which illustrates what is likely to happen once the camel is allowed to get his nose inside the tent.
