This article focuses on resignation of William Dodd, U.S. ambassador to Berlin. The author presents with information that Hugh R. Wilson's appointment is being concerned to succeed Mr. Dodd. The author says that Mr. Wilson's appointment will commend itself to the diplomatic service because he is a career man and a very able one. He has been in the department since 1911, serving in Portugal, Guatemala, Buenos Aires, Germany, Austria, and Japan. He has also been Minister to Switzerland and is now Assistant Secretary of State.
