The article discusses the book "A History of Science, Technology, and Philosophy in the Sixteenth and Seventeenth Centuries," by A. Wolf. The book is packed with information much of which is difficult of access to the ordinary reader. To have brought it within a single pair of covers and to have done so in such a readable manner is a notable achievement. After gaining the attention of the learned world by expositions of the early modern philosophers and textbooks on logic and scientific method, Wolf has apparently decided, to concentrate his energies on the history of science.
