This article presents information about films that are being shown in the U.S. "Lenin in 1918" is a thorough falsification of Russian history which is told with skill, acted excellently and directed cleverly in documentary fashion. People who did not believe their ears at the time of the Moscow trials may believe their eyes. People who do not know history may regard this picture as "an honest and convincing re-creation of the past." "On Borrowed Time" is a perfectly photographed reproduction of the successful stage play of the same name. The film magnifies the shortcoming of the play. However, the picture fails only in what it does not do. Otherwise it is superb.
