In this article, the author expresses his opinion on candidature of Senator Burton K. Wheeler of Montana for the post of U.S. President. Mr. Wheeler absolutely opposed the idea of giving Franklin D. Roosevelt, the U.S. President, a third term. Mr. Wheeler has been regarded as a real liberal whose record for liberalism was made long before 1933 and who is so honest and trustworthy that he holds the respect and confidence of the most conservative Democrats in the U.S. It is alleged that he has forsworn all his liberalism, became the tool of the interests he first opposed and a reactionary. The chief reason for this is that he fought the President's court-packing plan and the first Reorganization Bill and some other measures.
