This article focuses on the life of Theodore Gilmore Bilbo, a highly successful newsclipper in the U.S. Bilbo occupies a comodious suite in the U.S. Senate Office Building and admits to looking forward to at least eighteen years in the Senate. After stepping out of governorship of Mississippi, Bilbo had to give up his heavily mortgaged pecan farm worth $75,000 because he could not raise $500 to settle a claim against him. The job of a newspaper clipper in Washington was a life-saver. It happens that it set him up politically, too, like a restorative. In his knowledge, Bilbo has attested his expertness. He has been elected state senator, lieutenant-governor on two occasions and now U.S. Senator.
