The article presents information on three books related to criminology. These books are "The Criminals We Deserve," by H.T.F. Rhodes; "Crime and the Community," by Frank Tannenbaum; and "Coping With Crime," edited by Marjorie Bell. Rhodes believes that criminals like motorcars, are the result of mass production, and attacks effort to vindicate the social system. One of Rhodes' most interesting propositions is that the modern school educates slum dwellers for higher things than the world can offer them in reality and hence sets up tragic conflicts.
