The article presents discussion on a few books. The books are: "The Paintings of Rembrandt," "The Civilization of the Renaissance in Italy," by Jacob Burckhardt, "Five Hundred Self-Portraits," "Titian," "The Art of Ancient Egypt," "Van Gogh," "Boticelli," "Art Without Epoch," "Cezanne," "The Impressionists" and "Goya's the Disasters of the War." Into the American book market there recently has come a remarkable series of handsome and inexpensive art books varying in size between fourteen by ten and three-quarter inches and eleven by seven and a half inches. The great majority of their photogravures in color and in monochrome convey to a surprising degree the bloom of the paintings and the drawings they represent.
