The article discusses several books. Titles of some books that are discussed in the article are "Stepdaughters of War," by Helen Zenna Smith, "Ride the Nightmare," by Ward Greene, "Fifteen Rabbits," by Felix Salten, "Shrimps for Tea," by Josephine Blumenfeld and "Only Saps Work," By Courtenay Terrett. In the book titled "Only Saps Work," New Yorkers who feared that Chicago, Illinois, far excels their native city in racketeering will find in Terrett's book substantial reassurance. New York still has its building rackets, its liquor gangsters, its harbor pirates and its stock swindlers. Terrett has told their story breezily and well. If the city had not been buried to its neck in political scandal this summer Terrett's story would have created a great sensation.
