This article focuses on political conditions in Great Britain during 1931. Ramsay MacDonald, Prime Minister of Great Britain, has certainly saved the life of the Labor Party. According to a socialist, at last MacDonald has nationalized something, even if it's nothing but the government. The policy of attempting to govern in the name of labor, but at the continuous sacrifice of working-class interests, had gone to lengths which, if foreseen when the party assumed office, would hardly have been sanctioned. It is not only that MacDonald has lost friends by his overbearing personal manner. Officially he has been forcing an ostracism of the protestants within the ranks. At Glasgow, he declared that such a thing as Labor Party members voting against their own government in critical divisions must stop.
