This article focuses on the French revolution during the latter half of the eighteenth century. Emmanuel-Joseph Sieyes was a revolutionary during the revolution. He wrote an excellent little pamphlet which might be reprinted today if one changed Fourth Estate for Third. He got himself elected on numerous committees. He worked for this and he worked for that, but he was forever, scared of his own shadow. He had voted for the death of the King of France and he had worshipped at the altar of the Goddess of Reason.
