How to Keep Out of War

The article presents information on a peace poll conducted by the periodical, The Nation. The periodical reports the result to give an advance indication of which way the wind blows. It should be borne in mind, however, that all these ballots come from Nation readers and are therefore weighted in favor of the magazine's collective-security policy. With the next issue the periodical shall begin reporting on the vote of the bulk of its readers and on that of the 130,000 non-readers who received ballots.
