The article presents information on music recordings. It discusses a music recording described as the first of a new "Hall of Immortals" series. According to the author, the title of the set correctly describes its contents. Singer Enrico Caruso is the featured singer in these recordings, the one whose phenomenal voice had to be reproduced in its full beauty and power. One hears exciting recordings of this voice from 1908, when it was still light in color, to 1919, when it had achieved darker magnificence. Poorly performed on records of the past year were Ludwig van Beethoven's Eighth Symphony, performed with New York Philharmonic-Symphony.
