The article presents information on books that Germans are reading and on effects of war in Berlin, Germany. According to reports of the Finnish newspaper "Hufvudstadsbladet" as of November 15, Germans are not reading books, which have anything to do with the war. Those books are being "completely neglected" by both buyers and readers. This is because the war makes itself felt in every sector of daily life and the public does not wish to be reminded of it also in books. What people are reading are literary Classics. Their favorite poet is Friedrich Hölderlin.
