South Africa is far away, and most people in the U.S. know little of its civilization. It is off the main tourist routes and was not a theater of action in the war. The standard of living of Southern Blacks has risen substantially in the past decade as a result of their employment in war industries. Living conditions of natives in South Africa remain a disgrace to the modern world. The white South African leaders subvert every process of the law and every principle of patriotism, honor, and civilization to the stultifying task of perpetuating human injustice.
