The article presents news that appeared in the November 1869 issue of the journal "The Nation." The all but incredible prostitution of the American courts to the service of a notorious stock-jobbing, gold-gambling, railroad-ruining, and generally swindling clique will probably do more ultimately towards effecting a reform in the American judiciary system than will ever be accomplished by the united efforts of the bar, the legislature, and the indignant people. The Russian student is as liberal in politics as in philosophy, will show all the faults of the government, will discuss the rights of man and the advantages of a republic, detests Napoleon II, admires politician Abraham Lincoln, believes in the cause of Poland, and regards the U.S., and his imaginations of liberty, order, and simplicity there, with great reverence.
