The article reports that Presidential candidate Harold Stassen's rivals for the Republican nomination had better shop around for a new set of rationalizations. After the Wisconsin primary a flood of self-comforting explanations poured out, but the results in Nebraska have already given them a seedy look. The Nebraska organization was more antagonistic to Stassen than to any other candidate in the field. Another explanation was that Stassen had spent money freely in Wisconsin. But reports filed with the Secretary of State show that he spent much less than either of his rivals, the MacArthur strategists having laid out dollar 29,671, the Dewey group dollar 23,854, and Stassen's committee dollar 14,861.
