The article discusses news developments from around America. The bulletin of the Chamber of Commerce of the United States calls for larger allocations of steel for farm machinery, and hints that the large companies could use it to better advantage than the small ones. They have better facilities for using a variety of types of steel and, in some cases, they can switch workers from munitions production; Two prominent Massachusetts doctors who gave public support to a birth-control referendum in the last state election have been notified by St. Luke's Hospital in Pittsfield that they will not be permitted to practice in that hospital.
