This article focuses on the theatrical production "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes," performed by Anita Loos, Oliver Smith and Agnes de Mille. The whole cast is good, and much too hard-working. Surely some of the voices in the chorus should be toned down. The singing often becomes plain screaming. In this theatrical production is actress Carol Channing is quite a piece. Channing is a big gawky girl, shown with close-cropped platinum hair and staring bella-donnesque eyes, whose capers in those awful clothes of the nineteen twenties are fearsome as well as funny and whose rendering of the best of her songs is hilarious.
