Another anti-subversive piece of legislation went down for the count last week when Justice Harry E. Schirick of the New York Supreme Court found the Feinberg law unconstitutional. The law, passed by the Republican-dominated 1949 legislature, provided that the Board of Regents should promulgate a list of subversive organizations borrowed, if necessary, from the Attorney General's List and that a person's membership in one of these should be prima facie evidence that he was disqualified for employment in any part of the school system.
