This article presents information regarding the opposition to the foreign policy of the U.S. in the Senate. Every piece of legislation predicated upon the principle of international cooperation and mutual aid from the proposed International Trade Organization through the Atlantic Pact and arms program, is facing a mounting challenge. A bill to appropriate $5,580,000,000 for a second year's operation of the European Recovery Program is before the Senate, and an amendment offered by Senators Robert A. Taft and Ronald E. Russell to cut this figure 10 per cent is being debated. The vote will be a crucial one, for it will forecast the Senate's position on other questions of foreign Policy.
