The Columbia University bookstore has issued two notable ten-inch records. One is a coupling of a by musician Francesco Durante and the album "Crucifixus," by Antonio Lotti, both very beautiful. The other offers Giovanni Maria Namno's "Diffusa est gratia," also very beautiful, the brief "To My Humble Supplication" from the Genevan Psafter, and "Exaltabo Te, Domine." These are excellently sung by the Columbia University Choir under artist Lowell P. Beveridge and the recording is remarkable in its fidelity, spaciousness, and balance. The records sound best with treble on the phonograph reduced.
