This article presents information regarding several authors. Eugen Kovacs was for many years Central European correspondent of the "New York Times." H.S. Sewell, a brigadier general in the British army, is recognized as one of the leading English commentators on military history and strategy. Ralph Bates is an English novelist who served for more than a year in the Spanish Republican army. His latest book is "The Undiscoverables and Other Stories." George Joel is an editor of the "Dial Press."
