The author in this article the author presents his views on the political conditions in Spain during 1948. The author remarks that during his visit to Spain, he saw and heard things to make one cry out in indignation against the politics that perpetuate Spain's infamous dictatorship. The financial conditions of the farmers there is was very bad. One family had somehow lost two children on the mountain pass, a girl of nine and a little boy of six. The mother was threatening to commit suicide. These people were not guerrillas, just simple peasants fleeing from hunger.
