This article reports on a conference organized by United Nations at Lake Success, California. Dr. Brock Chisholm, executive secretary of the World Health Organization, gave an account of how the world's medical resources had been mobilized by his organization to combat the cholera outbreak in Egypt. On the Palestine issue, the Americans wanted the British forces to carry the responsibility of law and order. The British were standing by their original declaration that they would not accept sole responsibility for enforcement of a settlement to which both Arabs and Jews did not agree.
