The article focuses on the book "The Balkans, Frontier of Two Worlds," by William B. King and Frank O'Brien. This book is the deposit of several years' reporting from various Balkan capitals by two correspondents for the Associated Press. The bulk of it summarizes the course of political events in Yugoslavia, Rumania, Bulgaria, Albania, Turkey and Greece during the past five or six years. Authors add occasional snippets of background information-larded with some misinformation-sketch leading political personalities and make various observations on the world significance of recent Balkan developments. The theme of the book - is the disappearance of the middle ground between Soviet Union and the U.S. in the Balkans.
