The article discusses the political situation in Palestine. In Palestine international promises have been broken, loyalty and fidelity have been unrequited, hostility has been appeased and human life has been subordinated to the mysterious demands of imperial policy. The miracle is that, despite all this, Jewish Palestine has throughout the war been a bastion of security to the United Nations and is the most successful pioneering effort of modern history. Moreover, after long centuries of suffering, persecution and wandering, the Jews are willing to attain one objective on which they were predominantly united, the establishment of a national home, legally secured and publicly recognized.
