The article presents some political updates. It says that U.S. President Harry S. Truman has taken the initiative in demanding a Congressional investigation of the Pearl Harbor, Hawaii nuclear disaster. Through U.S. Senator Charles Barkley the U.S. government has forestalled the Republicans and offered its own resolution for such an inquiry. However, there are many gaps in the army-navy reports on Pearl Harbor, notably the omission, from the published version of the army report, of fifty-two pages on the activities of an army lieutenant and a German contractor in charge of airfield construction on Qahu.
