The article discusses American politics. American people today are being subjected to a campaign which threatens gains as old as this century-the campaign for decentralization of the federal government. It is not surprising that particular groups which stand to gain influence by decentralization are found in the ongoing "grass roots" campaign. But it is strange to see those who have stood firmly on the side of conservation, who have championed the fair distribution of both the burdens and the benefits of government, rushing to present the arguments of others whose purposes are far more narrow and specific.
