This article focuses on the book "Seduction of the Innocent," by Frederic Wertham. This book presents Dr. Wertham's seven-year study in which he found most parents, teachers, legislators, and judges ignorant of what is inside the gaudy covers of war comic books. They too take it for granted that comic books are only extended comic strips. Many comic books are racially slanted, not merely against a natives or the darker-skinned peoples or villainous Orientals, but in extolling superior blond beasts.
