This article focuses on the Sino-Indian relations concerning the geopolitical matter of Tibet dispute. In the year 1959, both India and China were involved in a dispute which was supposedly inherited from imperialistic administrators. In the year 1908, the Manchu Empire gave a sudden flicker of imperial power. In that year a certain official named Chao Erh-feng was appointed Imperial Resident in Tibet, took command of a small but relatively well-armed force and rapidly conquered Tibet, which was a nominal tributary of the Manchu Throne. The reason for this sudden incursion into Tibet was to counter the steady increase in British influence to which this country had become subject. Tibet was occupied by a Chinese army, the administration was reorganized on Chinese lines, and placed in the hands of Chinese officials.
