The article presents information on several books about television broadcasting. Some of them include: "Mass Communication," by Erik Barnouw, "Broadcasting in America," by Sidney W. Head, "The age of Television," by Leo Bogart, "Television Impact on American Culture," edited by William Y. Elliot, "British Broadcasting: Radio and Television in United Kingdom," by Burton Paulu. In the author's opinion nothing is wrong with the system of broadcasting. It is to be noted that in one way or another all of these books have academic backgrounds. Dr. Elliott's collection of studies naturally draws largely on the same source so that it is, in a way, a compendium of the intellectual's distaste for the excesses of television and at the same time a resume of the intelligent man's hopes for it.
