The article reports on the Moroccan crisis and faulty French policy related to Morocco. The article informs about killing of hundreds of French settlers by Moroccan mountain tribes men. The author of the article makes an assessment of the problems France faces in Morocco and Algeria. The greatest menace to the French colonial system comes not only from Morocco but from Algeria also. The Ziane rebellion in Morocco, horrible as it was, was more the savage outburst of primitive tribes men, driven to despair by years of colonial oppression than an organized attempt at a coup d'etat. The fierce revolt of Algerian insurgents in the Department of Constantine against French farmers and gendarmerie showed quite another level of organization.
