Governor of New Jersey Robert B. Meyner is a Democratic product of an ambiguous age. He is also, perhaps, better known' nationally' than any other state chief executive. This distinction he has achieved by bravado, more than a bit of luck, and the enviable ability to be all things to all persons while actually standing nowhere in particular. Since he took office over three and a half years ago, however, Governor Meyner has concentrated on building up his reputation among the five million people of his own state. He is now entering upon the climax of a vigorous reelection drive.
